Well, it's been way too long since I last posted. Lots of things have happened. Perhaps the most exciting news for me has been my new Camera. Tara keeps telling me that I've had one of those spoiled years. I would have to agree. This year I've been spoiled with:
- A new BlackBerry
- A new DSLR camera
- An external HD TV Tuner and a much nicer TV antenna (no rabbit ear adjustments needed)
For christmas Tara 'surprised me' and bought me my dream DSLR camera. She bought a Nikon D90 with a dual lens kit. Here's a picture from BHPhotoVideo.com of the camera and kit. After seeing me drool over the camera for several months she finally pulled the trigger when it went on a great Christmas sale and we got our escrow check after refinancing our house to a lower rate. My boss's boss, who is an avid photographer, has (jokingly) told me that he now cannot stand to look at me since I have a D90 (he has a D70 I believe).
I'm absolutely loving the camera. I've taken several thousand pictures since Christmas and can't wait until spring. While most of the pictures I've taken have been the 'learning' kind and are immediately deleted, I have had a few good shots. I've opened a flickr account and have uploaded a few to my flickr page. You can check them out if you want. Most of them are of my family. The ones I like the best are the black and white series. I've always been a fan of black and white.
